35 GenX Childhood Snapshots to Give You a Burst of Nostalgia (April 4, 2024)

I love being a Gen-X. It means I am old enough to remember a time when we didn't have the internet, the TV only had 3 channels, there were no cell phones and it was considered okay to just walk around your town looking for stuff to do. It makes me appreciate all the comforts of life we have today while also making me less anxious about life in general. people are so afraid of everything today but I still remember drinking from the garden hose and going to my friend's house without any actual way to call my parents to tell them where I was going.

I'm old enough to remember playing with sticks in the forest, but also playing video games with my friends. I guess what I'm saying is that I can appreciate modern life AND the simplicity of the past, bridging two worlds with fond memories from each.
